Calligraphy Classes

A Passion Born in Darkness. As Maria suffered through postpartum depression, her BFF pointed her to what she loved doing post as a teenager. Lettering! She picked up a calligraphy pen and fell in love! Since then, calligraphy has opened so many doors for her. From wedding signs, to on-site lettering at events, to creating fonts and designing murals, she loves to share this skill with you.

We host in-person workshops at our Chandler, AZ studio for both beginner and advanced calligraphy. Check available dates below. If you want to get started now, just follow these steps for the basics!

IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS

Our Beginners Calligraphy Workshop includes 3 hours of live instruction, a calligraphy travel tote bag, our beginners Brush Calligraphy Workbook, tracing paper + pens! In this class we learn the rules to copperplate brush calligraphy and learn all the basic strokes needed to form letters. We mostly practice forming letters!

Our Advanced Calligraphy Workshop includes 3 hours of live instruction, our Advanced Brush Calligraphy Workbook, tracing paper + pens! In this class we learn to perfect the basic strokes and learn the different ways to break the rules as you develop your own style! We practice lettering words!

Learn the laser

Laser cut workshop

This workshop is for anyone wanting to learn how the laser works and how to properly operate a universal laser system to cut through wood, plastic and some vinyls. Once you’ve taken this class you can book our laser room once a week for 90 minutes!

90 minute laser reservation

Reserve the room for 90 minutes a week. You have 15 minutes to set up before your session and 15 minutes to clean after your session.

Please note that if you haven’t taken the laser cutting workshop to learn how to safely use the laser, your session will be cancelled and a refund will not be issued.
